Rachel Matthews, best known for voicing Honeymaren in the 2019 Disney animated film “Frozen 2,” shared on her Instagram that she tested positive for the novel coronavirus on March 16.
“Hey guys, I tested positive for COVID-19 and have been in quarantine the last week. Unsure of what the next step is (been getting mixed info so will keep you posted) but will obviously remain in quarantine until told to do otherwise,” the 26-year-old actress wrote in an Instagram post.
Additionally, she continued to keep her followers updated and shared her coronavirus experience every day on her timeline, talking about her symptoms, which began with a sore throat, fatigue and headaches, explaining that she decided to take the test as she’s gotten in contact with a confirmed case and began showing symptoms.
“Please feel free to reach out and ask me any questions. I really would love to help in any way I can. Again, let’s please be mindful of our decisions – now is the time to be smart and responsible. Let’s take care of one another,” she wrote in her Instagram story on Monday.
Moreover, she described that testing for the novel coronavirus is “insanely hard to come by.” “Our country is very behind and we don’t have much of a system in place,” she wrote.
10. Andrew Watt
Producer Andrew Watt shared on his Instagram that he tested positive for COVID-19 on March 16. The 29-year-old producer, famous for working with artists like Cardi B, Post Malone and Ozzy Osbourne, related that he felt like he got “hit by a bus” before getting tested, showing symptoms like fever, chills, and a dry cough.
“Yesterday I was given the results that I am positive for COVID-19. I wanted to tell you all about my journey getting here in an effort to bring awareness to the severity of what’s happening in the world,” he wrote.
Before having tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the doctor told Watt that he doesn’t have COVID-19, even though he was feeling sick. After symptoms got even worse, he begged to be tested. He talked about how hard it is to have access to a test even though he experienced all the symptoms that indicate for COVID.
He self-isolated and stayed on bed rest with an oxygen mask to recover from a pneumonia. “I am laid out in bed chugging Gatorade and using an oxygen machine to give my lungs as much relief as possible,” he wrote
“I am 29 years old. I am a healthy young man and I am going to get through this no matter what. I am going to make a full recovery,” he wrote. “But… there are so many people in my life and in the world that could possibly not get through this due to their age and/or a compromised immune system… this is why I am writing this post. I can’t stress this enough… This is not a joke. Stay inside, stay sanitized.”
