Are vaccine side-effects normal?

Firstly, it’s important to understand that any form of medicals treatment comes with certain risks, but most of the time, the benefits outweigh the risks. And yes, vaccine side-effects are normal.

Furthermore, experiencing side-effects it’s a good thing, it means your body is reacting to the vaccine by creating antibodies, which means you’ll no longer live in fear of COVID-19. After all, that’s the goal, right? You’d want your immune system to recognize when a vaccine is injected, and side-effects are proof that it did.

When you see that your body is trying to react to the ‘foreign’ substance that’s been injected, it means your immune system is ready to fight the ‘unwanted guest’. Therefore, having side effects doesn’t mean the vaccine is no good, or that it doesn’t work, in fact, it’s the exact opposite.

However, it’s important to understand that our immune systems are so variable, so it can be a different experience from one individual to another. The vaccine could work just as well even though you’re not experiencing any side-effects.

The good news is that most vaccine side-effects are mild and short-term, which means they shouldn’t last more than a day or two.
