Bob Crane was a sex addict
Bob Crane, the American actor famous for starring in Hogan’s Heroes was killed in 1978, and up to this day, his killer was never found. Crane was found with an electrical cord wrapped around his neck, while his body was struck with a blunt object.
But even though his killer was not found, the police investigations discovered some of Crane’s darkest secrets, that he kept hidden from the public. According to The New York Times, Crane had a special room that he used for the homemade pornography that he had been creating for years.
The police discovered tons of Polaroid pictures and videotapes in his home, and even though the term ‘sex addict’ didn’t exist back then, it was believed that he was one. However, even though this part of his life was hidden from the public, the close people in his life knew about it.
The prime suspect in Crane’s murder, John Carpenter, also knew that he had this problem. Additionally, Richard Dawson’s son also knew, because Crane showed him some of his videotapes. But his issues were n secret to his family, as well.
His wife, Patricia Crane shared with ABC News that her husband told her at some point that he considers photography to be his hobby, even though she thought he was talking about landscape photography, rather than pornography. However, he told her the truth and even showed her the photographs he took, and there were all the women in his life…
