1. Georgia
Georgia has seen a spike in cases at the end of June, while state officials had a difficult time coming to an agreement on how to slow the spread of the virus. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp even sued Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms for releasing a mask mandatory in the city.
The latest report which leaked last week from the White House in The New York Times, the task force states Georgia must “mandate the use of masks in all current and evolving hotspots—optimally a statewide mandate.” However, Kemp still doesn’t want to issue an executive order mandating masks, even with the school year approaching.
