Virginia Rappe

According to Reader’s Digest, “In 1921, American silent-film actress Virginia Rappe died of internal injuries following a raucous party in a hotel suite at the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco.”

It was later discovered that the party also involved alcohol, even though it happened during Prohibition. As reported by the BBC, Rappe went in the bedroom with actor Roscoe “Fatty” Arbuckle, which was also very famous back in the day, and all the other guests heard her screaming.

When they entered the room, Rappe was on the bed, screaming “He did this to me.” Three days after the incident, Virginia Rappe died of a ruptured bladder, as she was previously suffering from recurrent bladder infections.

Even though Arbuckle was charged with murder, he was exonerated and didn’t do jail, which really upset the public opinion, who never forgave him for her death, and his career also got destroyed.

All that I know was that I saw Elvis in Baltimore at one of his last concerts.
When he started to perform, it seemed that he had a hard time standing up.
Several times, during his performance, he was almost carried off stage, some other
singers performed. They helped Elvis come back on stage; however, he was off and
on during most of his performance. It was so sad and to have lost a great talent was
    really terrible.
