You’re crossing your arms.
While crossing your arms or your legs is a highly used gesture that most of us do without realizing, it’s important to understand that it can make us seem unapproachable and less communicative.
These postures will also create a physical barrier between yourself and the interviewer. By crossing your arms you’ll appear narrow-minded and distant, which will prevent you from connecting with your interviewer.
If you don’t want to appear so distant and unapproachable, try to avoid crossing or resting your hands at your sides or in your lap. You can use body language to your advantage if you understand how it works.
