The Controversial Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Is Now Available in These States

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine will also be administered in Michigan, as the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced on April 23, after the CDC said in a statement on the same day that J&J’s risks are outweighed by the benefits.

As the Chief Medical Executive and Chief Deputy for Health Joneigh Khaldun, MD, mentioned in the statement, they will make sure to follow all CDC’s and FDA’s recommendations, but it’s definitely good news that the Jenssen vaccine can be administered again in the state.

Khaldun also added that the small pause could actually be beneficial, as many people finally understood that the vaccine is safe and effective, otherwise it would have never been approved again.
