9. Trader joe’s Just Mango Slices

Now that we’ve shown you some salty snack options raved by chefs, here’s an idea of a sweet snack that I’m sure you’re all going to love. After all, who doesn’t like mango?

“My favorite item (besides the raw nuts, seeds, or the endless trail mixes) has got to be the unsulfured mango slices,” said Thomas Marlow, executive chef of the award-winning Mimosa Grill in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Growing up, my family always had these in the cupboard, and now my two sisters have these treats around for their two daughters,” he added.

10. Trader Joe’s tamales

If you haven’t eaten tamales yet, you should definitely give them a try. The good news is that you can find them at Trader Joe’s and Eric Minnich, the executive chef at The Commissary in San Francisco swears by them. He also shared that he keeps his freezer stocked up on tamales for a quick and delicious meal for those busy days when you don’t feel like cooking.

“These tamales are the best for a quick lunch (or dinner) because their perfectly seasoned filling wrapped in moist corn masa leaves you perfectly satisfied,” Minnich said.

11. Trader Joe’s umami powder

Umami powder is the perfect ingredient that will make your meals tastier than ever. It is made from chopped mushrooms, aromatic vegetables and herbs, which makes it the seasoning blend that chef Schuster swears by.

“Professionally, this is one of my best secret tricks to boosting flavor,” said chef Elizabeth Schuster of Tenacious Eats LLC in St. Louis, Missouri. “I always add this mushroom powder to my burger mix, stews, soups, and even vinaigrettes.”
