If you work with an unlicensed contractor you will regret it in the long run
We know that it is really tempting to work with an unlicensed contractor because you do not have to pay a fortune for their work, but you will regret this decision in the future. If you are ready to start a new renovating project you should be aware that some tasks should be handled by specialized professionals, such as demolishing a wall, changing electrical wiring or plumbing, renovating the roof and the list goes on. So, if you do not want to spend more money in the long run, you better invest in a licensed contractor now.
“Most home improvement projects require permits and an unlicensed contractor cannot legally pull permits,” Andrew Helling, a Nebraska property manager and owner of REthority.com, told Business Insider. “This may result in a fine, or even worse, damage to your property resulting from shoddy work.”
