4. Cameron Diaz
Cameron Diaz owns an organic wine brand in partnership with Katherine Power, founder of the fashion website Who What Wear. The brand is called Avaline, and they sell organic white and organic rosƩ wine.
When she was invited to the “Late Night With Seth Meyers” in July, Diaz said that “Avaline” is actually a baby name that she liked very much, so she decided that it would be a perfect name for her brand. āAvaline just looked beautiful,” she said. “The meaning, which is sensitive, humble, and lively…really felt like it embodied what we wanted for our brand to sort of, you know, be, so we ended up with Avaline.ā
She also added that Avaline is a “clean” wine. āWhen your mouth turns purple from drinking red wine? Thatās not natural,ā Diaz told InStyle. āThatās a coloring called Mega Purple.ā
5. Snoop Dogg
āAs a business man, I get involved when I see big opportunities for growth, and this is one of them,ā wrote Calvin Broadus Jr. (known as Snoop Dogg)
Snoop Dogg is a shareholder and ambassador for a fruity Brazilian spirit Cuca Fresca since 2014. Cuca Fresca is known for its fruity liquor distilled from fermented sugarcane juice.
āI always had an attraction to the people of Brazil since I shot my āBeautifulā music video down in Rio de Janeiro down in ā03,ā Snoop Dogg wrote. āThen I heard about Cuca Fresca and saw this was something fresh and different,ā he added.
Moreover, it seems like he really enjoys working with liquors, as he recently partnered with the Australian wine label 19 Crimes, coming up with a Snoop Cali Red, a bottle that features his face.
The wine is a mixture of 65% Petite Syrah, 30% Zinfandel, and 5% Merlot, and will retail for around $12, as 19 Crimes it is a commercial brand.
6. Sam Heughan
“I set up the Great Glen Company to produce products that I believe in, using my heritage and passion as inspiration,” Heughan said. “We are currently working on my brand of whisky with our first announcement soon. First stop is obviously the lifelong dream of having my own dram.”
The Scottish actor said on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” that he always wanted to create his own brand of scotch whiskey. Looks like his dreams came trough, as he now owns The Sassenach, a blended scotch whisky that it is distilled in Scotland. His whisky has flavors of peach, honey, apricot and butterscotch with scents of almonds, citrus fruits, and vanilla.
āI quickly became a bit bored with the regular high-street whiskys, and wanted to experiment more. Japan, Taiwan, Indiaā¦I realized not just Scotland made amazing whisky. However, when I found the SMWS I was so happy ā the ability to try rare cask strength whisky, based on its flavor profile and not on its brand name, was a great incentive,ā Outlander star added.
