16. Nick Jonas
It seems like Justin Timberlake wasn’t the only one inspired to launch his own tequila after a trip to Mexico. Nick Jonas and fashion designer John Varvatos had the same idea. They were inspired to create their own brand of tequila on a trip to Mexico in 2018 where they went with family and friends. Villa One Tequilla came to life with the help of the master distiller Arturo Fuentes and the Stoli Group.
“When we brought our friends together over tequila in Mexico, we learned that we share the same values ā enjoying time with friends and family, old and new, one glass at a time,” Jonas said in a statement.
Villa One Tequila is currently available in silver, reposado, and anejo varieties. Additionally, the tequila is made from sustainably sourced five to seven-year-old, 100% blue weber agave. As a diabetic, Jonas has to be careful about his sugar intake, that’s why he came up with a sugar-free tequila.
17. Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have their own mezcal. āIāve been such a fan of mezcal for many years,ā says Paul. He added that he used to drink whiskey neat, but he fell in love with mezcal the first time he tried it.
The Breaking Bad actors launched Dos Hombres, an “artisanal mezcal” that’s meant to be shared with friends. āIt was a journey, but we always swore to each other that we didnāt want to put something out in the market that we didnāt feel was truly perfect,ā Paul says. āWe didnāt want people to taste our product and be like, āThis is not that good.ā
As its website shows, this mezcal is “a unique blend of the finest Espadin agave, hand-selected from the hillsides of a small village in Oaxaca, Mexico.”
āThis is like a movie opening for us. Weāve opened up and thereās excitement to it. We know that we have a great product. We have a good bottle. Great label. Everythingās working for us in that sense.ā
