A smaller community will have fewer job opportunities. What nobody tells you is that you’re probably going to have to compromise to make ends meet. When you are moving to a suburb, a rural area or a remote region for reasons other than work, it is necessary to be mentally prepared and willing to work beyond your professional training or college to earn money. Finally, a chance can open up, or even better, you can build your own.

i’ve lived in the rio grande valley, texas. its hot as blazes, but its very cheap to live here. san benito is 35,000 people and that’s big enough for me. of course there very little opportunity here, but i’m retired and can’t afford to live anywhere else. so i guess this is where i’m going to die. every place has its pluses and minuses……….there is no utopia……….bummer!
