Find the three things that will help you have a successful day
“Organized people think through their days,” explains Laura Vanderkam, author of What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast. “At the beginning of the day, they ask, ‘What do I need to do to make this a good day? If nothing else happens, what three things would make me feel like the day was a success?’ Then they figure out when these things can be scheduled, including back-up slots, given that life [interruptions] will happen.”
Don’t forget to reply to critical emails
If you’re checking your emails and find some that are very important, take some time to actually respond, says Wolf. For no other reason than they might stay on your mind the whole day, making you feel stressed without even realizing it. Just respond and get it over with.
