2. Alexa Becomes a Kid’s Personal Santa
My question is, can we really trust technology? I bet most of us have the very well-known Amazon virtual assistant, Alexa. All good, but what if your child wants to make an extremely expensive Christmas purchase? This actually happened to a family whose six-year-old girl ordered a doll house that cost around $200. And because this wasn’t enough, she also wanted to treat herself to no less than four pounds of cookies. Can you imagine? This happened because Alexa failed to recognize the voice of the person who was talking. But fortunately, now you can ask for a PIN code for every time you wish to make a voice purchase.
And another small piece of advice: don’t leave your nosy kids unsupervised during the holiday season because you never know what they’ll ask Santa Alexa. Haha!
