3. Bee hummingbirds are so small they get mistaken for insects.

Hummingbirds are considered to be itty-bitty creatures, but the Bee Hummingbirds are the tiniest versions of these incredibly small flyers. Bee hummingbirds are actually the smallest bird in the world. They are so tiny that sometimes, according to the National Audobon Society, they are mistaken for insects (which explains their name). The birds are only two and a quarter inches long and weigh less than a dime.

4. Sea lions can dance to a beat.

There are only two mammals on Earth with a demonstrated ability to move their bodies with an external beat in time: humans (though not all humans, to be honest) and sea lions. When researchers at Santa Cruz University saved a stranded sea lion in 2013, they found that she was very smart, and she even learned how to dance.

Although parrots can also maintain a rhythm, it was originally believed that only animals capable of complex vocal learning could do this.
