Bradley Cooper had been struggling with addiction and substance abuse long before he became famous for his movie roles, including the one with Lady Gaga. Cooper used to party very hard in his 20s, which led to alcohol and substance abuse.
However, he then realized that drugs and alcohol were destroying the life he had built and loved very much. Bradly Cooper then decided to focus on being sober and shared his experience with the media. He also opened up about his experience with substance abuse, even mentioning a time where he smashed his head against concrete just because he wanted to impress some of the people there.
That particular moment made him realize that his life has become so dark, and he needs to find a way to get out and clean the mess. After the incident, he was determined and started seeking treatment. He’s sober ever since.
