Black Eyed Peas – “Don’t Phunk With My Heart”
“Don’t Phunk With My Heart” was censored for all but the right reasons. Many radio stations in the United States requested that Black Eyed Peas edit their song “Don’t Phunk With My Heart” because they felt the word ‘phunk’ was not appropriate just because it sounded a lot like another four-letter expletive.
But they already edit the song title, since they chose not to use the four-letter word in the first place, and replaced it with ‘phunk’. Most radio stations believed they were trying to get away with something, but they probably wouldn’t be so obvious if they did.
However, Black Eyed Peas still chose to edit the song because they wouldn’t want to risk being banned on the radio, so they renamed the song “Don’t Mess With My Heart.”
