Bing Crosby – “Deep In The Heart Of Texas”

The only controversial thing about “Deep In The Heart Of Texas” is probably Bing Crosby’s name, and nothing else. It’s still unclear how some people could find the “Deep In The Heart Of Texas” song offensive because it obviously isn’t.

Even so, “Deep In The Heart Of Texas” was banned from several radio stations in the United States in 1942, because apparently it was too catchy, and no, we’re not joking here. The BBC choose to ban the song because people loved it, and they feared that factory workers would stop working when this song popped up. Even though it might seem like a joke, this was actually the reality in 1942.
