7. You shouldn’t start talking about your own diet
Sincerely, no one is curious to find out about your diet at the Thanksgiving dinner when there are a lot of interesting topics to discuss. Also, if you want to celebrate Thanksgiving properly, I think you can forget about your diet for a few hours. One day won’t ruin your diet, so you could make an exception.
Additionally, by sharing your own body image issues you could make others feel worse about their own bodies. Or you could make the other guests feel guilty for overindulging when you’re constantly complaining about the things you’re not allowed to eat.
8. You shouldn’t wear sweatpants
I get that everyone wants to feel comfortable but wearing sweatpants will send the wrong message to the other guests. And don’t get me wrong, it’s not like you have to wear a tuxedo or an evening gown, you can simply choose a pair of jeans and a nice shirt and you’re good to go.
9. You shouldn’t eat too much
Yes, we’ve established already that all the Thanksgiving food is delicious but there is such thing as eating too much. As I’ve previously mentioned, you can forget about your diet for a few hours, but that doesn’t mean you should stuff your face to the point where it hurts. You can have a little bit of everything and save the leftovers to enjoy all week.
