Expect more than empty shelves at Walmart
Walmart implemented starting November 14th a new regulation that allows a limited amount of customers insider the store. This measure was taken in order to avoid over-crowded stores, limit direct contact, and allow customers to practice social distancing.
As Kory Lundberg, a Walmart spokesperson explained in a statement to CNBC, this limitation is vital, even though the vast majority of the time Walmart didn’t even reach the self-imposed 20 percent capacity.
Even though the capacity has not been reached recently, the limitation was taken as a preventive measure to restrict crowding.
