Eddie Murphy
The actor and comedian Eddie Murphy had a rough childhood much like many of his peers. His parents divorced when he was just three years old and when he was eight, he heard that his father died. According to FosterClub.com, Murphy’s mother, Lillian, became severely ill and needed hospitalization which sent Eddie and his older brother Charlie into the foster system.
The brothers spent about a year in a foster home, which was not necessarily the most enjoyable experience, but Murphy claims it helped him to hone his sense of humor in. Luckily, when Eddie was nine years old, the boys were reunited with their mother and lived with her until he set out on his own.
