Panphobia
Finally, although this list has focused on oddly specific phobias about apparently innocuous things, our last one is panphobia, no it’s not a fear of boys who wouldn’t grow up, but an abnormal fear of….. well….. everything. It’s usually characterized by a vague and persistent dread of some unknown, unseen evil.
Sufferers tend to excessively worry and feel anxious about a great number of things, hence the ‘everything’, but they tend to be afraid that things could have evil entities in it. This can lead to severe cases of paranoia and even lead to the sufferer wanting to escape reality by committing suicide.
