Although on the surface this may sound like a fear of children’s parties (we could again add coulrophobia, the fear of clowns, to this) globophobia is an irrational fear of balloons. In some cases this fear is of the balloons in general and sufferers will refuse to touch, feel, or go near them, but some people who have this phobia avoid balloons fearing they may pop.
