Do not get other vaccines at least 14 days after the COVID-19 vaccine.
Even though getting other vaccines after the COVID-19 vaccination hasn’t been linked to causing adverse effects, it would still be recommended to avoid it for at least two weeks after/before your shot, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
“Because data are lacking on the safety and efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines administered simultaneously with other vaccines, the vaccine series should routinely be administered alone, with a minimum interval of 14 days before or after administration of any other vaccine,” according to the CDC.
Nevertheless, in situations where the benefits of the vaccination outweigh the possible side effects and unknown risks, COVID-19 and other vaccines can be administered in a shorter period of time, the CDC adds.
