According to Anthony Fauci, the company released ‘misleading’ information about its vaccine.
As Dr. Anthony Fauci, NIAID director and White House chief medical advisor has told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, even though AstraZeneca is considered to be a very good, and safe vaccine, the DSMB is still concerned that their data might be outdated and misleading a little bit.
He also calls this an unforced error, because even though the vaccine data is considered to be quite good, what they put in the press release was not exactly precise, Fauci added.
According to Dr. Fauci, the DSMB “wrote a rather harsh note to them and with a copy to me saying that in fact they felt that the data that was in the press release were somewhat outdated and might in fact be misleading a bit, and wanted them to straighten it out.”
