We might not be able to travel without a vaccine passport.

Since the vaccine against COVID-19 began rolling out the world, the idea of some sort of vaccine passport has been brought to our attention, either in the form of paper or through an app. Even though the U.S. federal government stated that they won’t require a vaccine passport in our country, many other countries around the world will, therefore, the vaccine passport will likely become an essential item for those who want to be able to travel internationally.

There’s already an app called CommonPass, created by non-profit the Commons Project, that can be used as a digital boarding pass for international travelers, and it’s also very convenient. As Kathryn Tucker, co-founder and chief marketing officer of the Common project, mentioned in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, boarding passes come and go, so they’re not exactly the same with a passport or other important documents that will stay with you for a lifetime.

“This is a basic document that’s exchanged between your phone and the airline agent or border agent only,” she continued saying.
