14. ”Supper at Emmaus”
“The Supper at Emmaus” was painted in 1601 by the Italian Baroque ruler Caravaggio. This is also a painting that contains hidden symbols even though a real interpretation of them wasn’t discovered yet.
One of the most important symbols that were found, is the shadow of a fishtail seen behind the bowl of fruits. This could be a sign that the man at the table is actually Jesus Christ, the fisher of men. Another thing that could be considered a clue is a fact that all the lines point to the figure standing at the head of the table, just like in “The Last Supper”. The man is said to be Christ in disguise.
The explanation for the fish shadow could be that it is a hint to when Jesus fed the masses with just some fish.
