Fully vaccinated individuals still have to wear a mask in public settings and other places where not everyone is vaccinated.
With a large percentage of the U.S. population already being fully immunized, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have modified its guidelines last month for those individuals that are two weeks away from getting their second vaccine dose.
According to the CDC, fully vaccinated individuals are allowed to gather indoors without wearing a face mask or social distancing, as long as everyone in the room is fully immunized. The guidelines also stated that fully vaccinated individuals can gather indoors with people that are not vaccinated, as long as they’re from one other household, not more.
But as the CDC has explained, it’s still important that you protect yourself and others by choosing to wear a face mask or maintaining the 6 feet distance even though they’re not mandatory anymore.
Also, the CDC urges fully vaccinated individuals to still follow these precautions when they are in a public setting.
