Rudy Giuliani and Regina Peruggi (married)
The former NYC mayor’s first marriage was with his college sweetheart and, also, his second cousin. Regina Peruggi was a drug abuse counselor at a New York state jail and the daughter of Giuliani’s father’s first cousin (to help you understand better, think of your son/daughter marrying your cousin’s daughter/son).
Their marriage lasted for 14 years, and he first believed that they are second or third cousins, but he was quickly corrected. When Giuliani found out about their ”special bond” he filled an annulment with the Church. The “happy and in love” couple (of cousins) never had any children.

The way I understand Rudy’s and Regina family relationship is not second cousins but first cousins once removed. If Regina had a child, that child and Rudy would be second cousins. Help me understand the connection if I am incorrect.
